I am absolutely stunned. Hell, I can't believe this happened. ZeTrystan made an animation. And by god, for a first proper frame-by-frame animation, this looks incredible considering. It helps that you're already damn good at drawing and making illustrations and stuff, but watching this shows you have real skill.

Artistically, I always thought your art style would fit a full animation really well, and by god, I was fuckin right. I have seen so many first tries, but yours genuinely doesn't look like a first try. I'm not just sayin' that either. I have seen animators on here who have made animations for years, but never got their work to look this unique, and this visually beautiful, in their entire collection of work. Let alone on their first whack at it.

Honestly, the framework and use of colour was amazing. The colouring was kept minimalist and yet visually relaxing and worked well for what the animation had in mind. The music choice was weird, but I liked it! The fucking fire effects mate... It looks so good. Even the sound mixing is good. It works with the simplicity of the visuals really well, and it meshes together to create a great short animation.

Genuinely so happy to see this from you. It certainly isn't perfect, but for a first time for doing it? Pretty damn good. Animation takes a very VEEEERRY long time. I half-recommend doing animation because animation sucks your soul. Your very being. But you also get a lot out of doing it. You become better at the craft, and I feel you can only get better. This screams potential, and I am hyped to see what comes next, if there is a next :).

Seriously, good work, old friend!

ZeTrystan responds:

I know right? I MADE AN ANIMATION. It's weird! Who knows... maybe it's because you started making a lot of work on your side... I was jealous and needed to catch up to you. (haha)

Seriously, dude, you're WAY too kind. I mean, if giving compliments was a crime, you'd be in prison for life!

The song is actually a song singing about a pyromaniac! It makes more sense in french, I suppose. :D And thanks! I tried to make something simple enough to help me finish it at time for my class, but still visually nice. Happy it worked!

Who knows, maybe there will be something more, one day. I love trying new things, and with time I hope I'll get better.

Thanks for the eternal awesome long comment, Retro. ;)

Ah man this is so greaaatt! This is fuuunnnnnn!

My anus is bleeding...

But legit, really great stuff, man! Happy Pico Day, gentleman

glad you liked it haha

Emrox... holy shit this is amazing.

Hey, this is pretty great!

I really enjoyed this cartoon. The first quarter of the animation is a little off with the movements and positions of the characters being janky as hell, especially with how Johnny Cage moved around. But after that first quarter, it immediately gets better and stronger. Kinda like Rocky Balboa, he gets the shit kicked out of him, and he seems kinda shitty, but he gets better and better the longer he goes on. I am not very good at analogies. Like, the facial expressions and characters become more fitting to the style and comedy of the situation.

The voice acting is pretty great, though a few of Johnny Cage's lines seem a little off, but other than that, the voice acting from Gianni is pretty solid. Fits just about every character here, and makes the jokes pack way more punch 'cos y'know... he's a funny dude. Kind of. Well, when he's drunk, anyway.

Music is fuckin great, with a sick-ass bassline that really sells it. Shit's like the opening to Seinfeld. it's great.

Overall, good shit, you spanish bastard.

kehny responds:

Thanks, I'll have that in mind in future projects, I should've dedicated more time into the animation

Have fun, you english bastard.

Where's my video you fuck.

But yeah, this shit's good. This is the good shit, the kind of shit I love from you, man. You showing off the best shit you done, and I respect that shit, man. You the best voice actor around, don't let nobody tell you otherwise, ya hear? You the best

Now get your ass back to more pressing matters, like getting super hyped for Overwatch and drinking copious amounts of booze!

Gianni responds:

Well I wouldn't say it's "the best of the year", it's really just a demo, which means my selections are more based on attempting to show a slightly diverse range cast throughout the year. Maybe next year I'll trim a lot of fat and mash together quickfire lines of every project I was in that year. Maybe, I'll think about it.

But yeah there was a lot of amazing stuff in 2015 not in this demo, so "the best" is something I'd stray away from describing it as just cuz those other amazing projects shouldn't be made to feel left out.

Thanks for your support, amigo.

I fucking love how these reviews were taking this seriously and reviewing it totally straight

But yeah, this is great. Fuck these people.

Y'know, as a representation of Fallout 4, I really expected some gravity-bending dog action. But instead I got a brilliant animation about the bullshit NPC companions littered throughout the game who violently refuse to carry your weapon, even after you have sex with him/her. And I guess I also voice act in this one too maybe

But yeah, I really like this one. That's not just me being biased either. The backgrounds are pretty good, with model animation and sound mixing to be pretty well-handled overall. There are a few points where the voice actor's voice really peaked, which, to be fair is definitely my fault, and the music to be slightly louder than the voice acting, but it's not too loud.

Animation is good, 3D animation is pretty great, and the model work is straight outta K-On!, and that's not necessarily a bad thing here. I like the idea of like, a huge deserted wasteland accompanied only by kawaii waifus and husbandos (which really needs to be a mod, seriously people, get on this).

Overall, this animation is fuckin brilliant, and I am so happy to finally work with you Kel!

Kel-chan responds:

I didn't know this was your first VA. You have a really good voice for lively characters. I tried to normalise the mp3 and it mostly worked but there were some peaks I couldn't get out. Also I still have to figure out how to set my levels for music. I've always had that problem where its either too loud or too soft

This is fucking amazing. I am absolutely in love with the writing and the characters. Can't believe I didn't watch this series sooner. Fucking love the voice acting too, it gives so much life and personality into these already full-of-life characters.

As one dude once said regarding this animation, there is this unique down-to-earth feeling about it that gives it so much more personality than I have seen in most animations I've watched. You can see the love and care put into each painstaking frame into this, while still seeing the pure simplicity in the character's actions and movement. This is truly a unique animation, and to my eyes, this is lightning in a bottle. Lightning in a bottle that barely anyone has really seen. And that is sad.

Great fucking work, mate. Looking forward to seeing more crazy shit from you in the future!

Fantishow responds:

Thanks!

As someone who's only interaction with this game was through a fandub of the anime movie in a voice role, this was the dumbest fucking thing I have ever seen. I love it.

The Sonic persona. Just.... brilliant. Oh yea and the animation quality is pretty stellar, with the facial animation one-upping Chris O' Neil while it was there. I think you did a seriously excellent job on this completely idiotic parody of a game that has really needed something like this.

O also if you ever scrounge up the time Persona 4 is pretty gud too

As an avid fan of K.C. Green's work, this was absolutely incredible to watch. However, it was very easy to tell that every drawing in this was just straight-up traced over, then coloured in. But despite the lack of any real originality to the animation, it remained faithful to the source material in the process which made it a lot more humble of a fan made animation.

The use of Sapphire's comic dub of this was a stroke genius, and works perfectly as an animation, with Seymour absolutely nailing Mort's Cartman-like persona. The comic dub still stands as a testament to Sapphire's sound mixing, and overall casting choices. This animation proves how well it can work as a fully-fledged animation.

There were also times were the lip-flaps didn't quite sync up with the audio, which really bothered me, but was made up entirely by the genius use of facial expression with the character's movement. There were times when the movement felt a tad-bit stiff, especially in the scene where Mark says "You dense, motherfucker!" and his hand movement is quite stilted. You nailed the eye movement and colouring, though.

I've always wanted an animation of this, and it's amazing. Thank you.

I may have made one too many mistakes.
